UAE Sympathizes with the People Affected by Earthquake in Indonesia by Offering Tons of Humanitarian Aid
A powerful earthquake rocked Indonesia’s Sulawesi island on the 15th of January. The 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia Sulawesi Island just hours after an earlier, smaller tremor, many have died, hundreds of people were injured and thousands displaced by the quake.
Indonesia has a history of devastating earthquakes and tsunamis, with more than 2,000 killed in a 2018 Sulawesi quake.
The United Arab Emirates has provided urgent humanitarian aid to people affected by the earthquake that rocked the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
The ERC coordinated with the UAE Embassy in Jakarta and relevant Indonesian authorities to ensure the fast delivery of the aid, to meet the needs of those affected by the disaster, improve their conditions and ease their burdens.
An ERC delegation recently arrived in Indonesia to oversee the relief operations and distribute humanitarian aid in the affected island.
