UAE and Morocco plan to solidify relationship to help build common interests
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today, received a phone call from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, of the Kingdom of Morocco.
They both discussed brotherly relations and ways to strengthen and develop there union in a way that will serves the common interests of both countries and their people.
His Highness and King Mohammed VI also discussed, during the call, a number of issues and files of mutual interest, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, and they exchanged views on them.
During the call, His Highness welcomed the announcement of the United States of America recognizing the sovereignty of brotherly Morocco over the Moroccan Sahara, and the decision of the Kingdom of Morocco to resume its contacts and diplomatic relations with the State of Israel, stressing that these steps contribute to strengthening joint efforts and endeavors towards stability, prosperity and peace in the region.
For his part, His Majesty the King of Morocco expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his original stances in support of Morocco and its sovereignty at various levels, stressing his pride in the solid fraternal relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco and the common keenness to develop them in all fields.
The contact comes within the framework of continuous coordination and consultation between the leaderships of the two countries on various issues and topics, in a way that contributes to strengthening cooperation and joint action between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco and for the benefit and prosperity of the region.
